Mountain Park Health Center (MPHC) understands that providing quality, responsive health care to our communities requires creating an environment where diversity is valued and celebrated as an asset both internally and externally.  It is with this perspective that we strive to create an inclusive, empowering, and supportive environment for all of our stakeholders.  MPHC is committed to diversity, inclusion, and cultural competency and makes it a high priority to provide both clinical and non-clinical staff with the tools to provide cross-cultural and culturally responsible health care.  Lastly, we are continually seeking fresh and innovative approaches to anticipate the needs of our diverse employees and customers.

Who are our patients?

Mountain Park patients are often people who perhaps 10 years ago would have had insurance covered by their employer or their spouse's employer.  Today, insurance with a job is increasingly rare, it is all too often a benefit afforded to only the well-educated and well-employed.  This practice leaves hard working people making difficult choices about their health care.  Does a single mom take her three children for their immunizations or pay her rent?  Preventive care is the first thing that is cut out of a tight budget.

A typical scan of a Mountain Park waiting room might show these patients:

        A working parent whose employer covers his insurance, but not family members.

        A recent college graduate who is no longer covered by her parent's insurance and has yet to gain employment that offers insurance.

        A recently divorced parent who was previously covered under her spouse's insurance.

        A senior citizen living on a fixed income.
